The Education Special Interest Group of AITP is pleased to announce CONISAR 2008, the first annual Conference on Information Systems Applied Research, November 6-9, at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa (1011 West Holmes Avenue, Mesa, AZ 85210, 480-833-5555) in Phoenix, Arizona. Share your applied research, meet some new people and take home some new information and ideas.
CONISAR is THE conference to attend to learn about and contribute to the latest trends and issues in Information Systems Applied Research. The conference focuses on research dealing with real-world practical applications of information sciences, systems, and technology, and provides a valuable forum for both researchers and practitioners. Topics include IS applications, ethics, technological changes, emerging applications, and IS research.
Keynote Speaker: Jay Nunamaker - We are pleased to announce that the keynote address will be given by Dr. Jay F. Nunamaker, Jr. of the University of Arizona. The Keynote will be Friday, Nov 7, at noon. Jay was our Educator of the Year in 1997.
Journal: CONISAR is affiliated with JISAR, the Journal of Information Systems Applied Research (http://jisar.org/), a peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by EDSIG. JISAR publishes articles deemed to be of journal quality from among those submitted to CONISAR.
| Parallel Conference: CONISAR is pleased to partner with ISECON, a parallel conference held on the same days at the same venue. CONISAR focuses on IS Applied Research. ISECON focuses on IS Education. ISECON is sponsored by FITE with assistance by AITP EDSIG. Operating since 1982, ISECON is the largest continuously-running conference for IS Education. Registrants for CONISAR can freely attend ISECON functions and vice versa. |
